Modern Cycles
(Working Project)
Cycles are habitual patterns developed by efficiency, technology, and routine. They can be internal reactions, governed by automaticity, and cultural messaging. It can be literal and it can be abstract. It can be fast and it can be slow. These repetitive processes help us manage the world. The advent of the laundry machine provided urban dwellers and city planners with well-needed services like washing and walking. The motorcycle was built on the American past-time, and enables contemporary riders to associate with the collective memory of their ancestors through discovery - Go West! The ancient tradition of practicing culture is rooted within the human condition and the preservation of the human as kind, disorderly, and in control.
